Payment Method
AdRoll accepts all major credit card providers: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. It also accepts PayPal as a payment method.
To add a new payment method, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings in the left navigation menu.
- Click Payment Methods.
- Click Add.
- Enter your billing information by adding a new Credit Card or PayPal Account.
- Click Add again when you're finished.
AdRoll has two different billing styles: Automatic Postpaid (weekly) and Monthly Postpaid. Whenever you launch a new campaign or increase the budget of an existing campaign, the system will try to authorize your payment method to check if it is active and has sufficient funds to pay for the maximum weekly amount that you may be invoiced for. The authorization amount equals the weekly budget of all active campaigns plus the weekly budgets of any campaigns that have been paused within the last 90 days. If the authorization fails, you will receive a message that your campaign was not able to be launched or your budget was not able to be increased. If the authorization succeeds, then you will be able to launch your campaign or increase your campaign budget. An authorization is not an actual charge, but it may look like a charge in your online financial statements. Some banks and credit card companies will place a hold on funds after an authorization even though authorizations are not actual charges. If your financial institution places a hold on funds as part of an authorization, you should expect to see it released after a few days. If you want to reduce the amount your payment method is being authorized for, then you should end any campaigns you no longer want to run by setting the end date (so they no longer have a paused status). This way, they will no longer be included in the authorization amount when you are launching new campaigns or increasing budgets.

Adroll Return Policy?
AdRoll's return policy, also known as their refund policy, is quite clear. Customers are eligible for refunds up to 180 days after all campaign completions. Refunds are issued to the payment method originally charged, as long as there's a positive balance available to refund. Refunds provided through the original payment typically take 5-7 business days. If there's an excess positive balance in the account or if there's a billing dispute, customers are advised to reach out to the Customer Support team or to their Account Manager. In the case that the payment method originally charged is tied to a closed account, customers should reach out to the Customer Support team for other options. To prevent any further charges to the billing account, customers should either complete or pause all campaigns. If campaigns are still active, there's a chance they'll be billed for spend and services rendered. To cancel an account, customers should reach out to their Account Manager or Customer Support team. AdRoll also offers a 30-day free trial of their Growth plan. Their Starter Plan is completely free.
